Facials are Wonderful!
Facials make your skin glow by removing dead/dull built-up skin, even-out tone, treat hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries, help clear-up acne, and more. Routine facials along with high-frequency, peels, serums, and good-for-you skincare products help give you healthy, clearer skin.
If you haven't had a facial in a long time, or have never had one, it is important to have a thorough consultation and exam prior to receiving any services. Be upfront and honest with your esthetician, let her know your current health history including your medications, homecare routine, and any allergies you have. Share your concerns and expectations. Your provider will offer you the best solutions for obtaining healthier skin, as well as provide you with the proper products to maintain it at home between facials. If you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or lactating, be sure you tell your esthetician, as certain services and products may be contraindicated.
If you are receiving a Deep Cleansing facial/High-Frequency treatment/Enzyme or Acid Peels/Extractions, or Facial waxing, it is always recommended you do not schedule any facial services closer than a week or two prior to any important engagements or social functions. Generally, most facials have no reactions, but the aforementioned services may cause mild peeling, small dry areas, or mild pinkness for a short while. Since no two people are alike, depending on your skin type, condition, ethnicity, and service(s) you are receiving, it is advisable to give your skin an adjustment period since everyone does not react the same. If you have ANY questions or concerns, share them with your esthetician before commencing with any service you are unsure about.
